About Smart Seminar
An independent evaluation platform for professional learning. Built for the people who have to justify training decisions, not the people who sell training.
What this platform does
Smart Seminar provides structured evaluations of professional seminars and certifications in the UK market. Every evaluation follows a documented methodology. Every verdict is qualified. No content is written by, or influenced by, training providers.
The platform exists because the standard information available to professionals choosing where to invest in their development is either marketing copy from the provider itself, or satisfaction ratings from delegates who may not have had a basis for comparison. Neither is adequate for a significant budget decision.
We do not sell courses. We do not earn referral fees. We do not accept sponsored content. The revenue model is stated transparently below.
Who we are
Smart Seminar publishes under the editorial direction of two practitioners with direct experience of professional development decisions in UK organisations.
Revenue model
Smart Seminar earns no revenue from course or certification sales. There are no affiliate or referral arrangements that influence editorial content. The platform is currently funded through direct subscriptions to the newsletter and, in future, may offer premium tool access or organisational subscriptions.
If this model ever changes, it will be stated transparently on this page and on the Editorial Standards page.
What we do not do
We do not publish star ratings or satisfaction scores. We do not carry advertising. We do not accept contributions from training providers. We do not publish case studies involving named organisations unless the evidence is verifiable and independent. We do not guarantee career outcomes.
If you have a question about our editorial approach, read the Editorial Standards page first. If your question is not answered there, use the contact form.
