GDPR Compliance Overview - Is Your Business Ready?

The aesthetics sector faces many risks and our aim is to always keep those risks under control. With an increasing focus on data protection and new Regulations coming into force in May 2018, it is vital that business owners and practitioners have a clear understanding of their obligations whilst maintaining their ability to retain and use personal data. Delegates attending this interactive workshop will benefit from practical help to navigate their way through these new Regulations and will come away with a clear understanding of their responsibilities and what they need to do to get ready before 25 May 2018.

VAT or Not VAT and Other Accounting Questions

This session will walk you through the decisions you need to make for your business, whether to register for VAT, whether to incorporate, what records to keep and how to prepare your business for future changes such as Making Tax digital. It is important that Clinic Managers know what to expect when they are visited by HMRC and are equipped with the skills to deal with it. Veronica Donnelly summarises VAT law in the context of aesthetics and provides some tips on how to deal with HMRC and the records each clinic should keep to protect their business.

Health and Safety and Risk Management in Your Business – Legislation Update and Case Studies

The seminar will be designed as a H&S workshop in order to first present the risks to the Aesthetics sector as a whole discussing Regulatory Catch up with the Industry, Standard Qualifications to practice (HEE Report) and the HSE Beauty sector strategy report. Following this we will break up into groups to carry out some scenario discussions and then go over some relevant case studies to reinforce what should be in place for Health & Safety. Following the H&S seminar attendees will have a greater understanding of the regulatory expectation on them as an organisation, an awareness of what must be in place for an aesthetic H&S Management system, and the issues that you may face with competence, procedures & risk assessments.
